Namibia’s coastal city of Walvis Bay is set to host one of the country’s most anticipated endurance events — the Namport Nedbank Powerhouse Challenge — taking place on 1 and 2 November. The event promises a weekend of fitness, fun, and fierce competition against the backdrop of Namibia’s scenic Atlantic coast.
Organised in partnership between Namport and Nedbank Namibia, the Powerhouse Challenge will bring together athletes, fitness enthusiasts, and families for a diverse lineup of activities designed to test endurance and celebrate healthy living.
The action kicks off on Saturday, 1 November, with the Mountain Bike Challenge, offering 35km and 70km routes, alongside a Family Walk and Run featuring 5km, 10km, and 21.1km distances — ideal for participants of all fitness levels
On Sunday, 2 November, the focus shifts to the Road Race Challenge, where cyclists will tackle demanding 60km and 100km routes. Each category promises an exciting mix of competition and community spirit as participants push their limits along Namibia’s picturesque coastline.
