Namibian Youth Shine at Nedbank YX25 Awards in South Africa

Namibian Youth Shine at Nedbank YX25 Awards in South Africa. Three young Namibians — Taimi Nuunyano, Johannes Haleinge, and Kyle Routh — proudly represented the country at the Nedbank YX25 Youth X Awards in South Africa, an event celebrating youth innovation, creativity, and purpose across the continent.

The trio earned their place at this prestigious event after winning the Nedbank Namibia Youth X social media challenge, a campaign designed to spotlight and reward young Namibians who demonstrate leadership, creativity, and community impact. Their victory secured them an opportunity to connect with other inspiring young Africans at the YX25 Awards, which recognise outstanding contributions by youth in various sectors, from entrepreneurship and sustainability to the arts and social innovation.

The Youth X platform is part of Nedbank’s broader effort to empower young leaders by providing exposure, mentorship, and opportunities to collaborate with changemakers from across Africa. For the three Namibian representatives, the experience has been described as both transformative and inspiring, offering valuable insights into how youth across the continent are shaping a more inclusive and innovative future.

As part of their journey, Nuunyano, Haleinge, and Routh are sharing highlights and reflections from the Youth X Awards through their social media pages, giving fellow Namibians a glimpse into their experience and the many ideas that emerged from the event.
