Telecom Namibia Backs National ICT Summit as Platinum SSponsor. Telecom Namibia is supporting the 9th National ICT Summit as its Platinum Sponsor and Connectivity Partner, providing connectivity for the event taking place at the Ongwediva Trade Fair Centre from 12 to 16 October 2026.

The summit is being held under the theme “Harnessing ICT for Inclusive Growth: Digital Pathways to Reduce Unemployment and Eradicate Poverty”. It brings together stakeholders to discuss digital solutions that can contribute to Namibia’s socioeconomic development.

As part of the company’s participation, Vivian Bernice Mieze, Telecom Namibia’s senior manager for FMC Core and Wireless Access, took part in a high-level fireside chat on Monday morning. The discussion focused on practical models for using information and communications technology (ICT) to support job creation and economic growth.

Mieze is also scheduled to deliver a keynote presentation at 16:00 on Monday titled “Building Namibia’s Digital Foundation: How Broadband Infrastructure Drives Inclusive Growth, Job Creation, and Economic Opportunities”.

Her presentation is expected to address the role of broadband infrastructure in advancing digital inclusion, supporting employment creation and expanding economic opportunities across the country.

Telecom Namibia’s involvement as the summit’s connectivity partner includes providing connectivity at the event venue. The company is also exhibiting its technology products and inviting delegates to engage with industry experts about solutions designed to keep Namibia connected.

The summit provides a platform for stakeholders to examine how digital technologies and infrastructure can contribute to addressing unemployment and poverty, two challenges highlighted in this year’s theme.

Broadband infrastructure is a central focus of Telecom Namibia’s scheduled keynote, which links connectivity with digital access, employment opportunities and economic expansion.

The company has encouraged summit delegates to visit its exhibition stand to explore its latest technology offerings and discuss potential solutions with its representatives.
