Miss Namibia Names Delegates for Miss Universe, Miss International, and Miss Earth 2025. The Miss Namibia Organization (MNO) has confirmed that three queens will represent Namibia on some of the most prestigious international beauty platforms this year, positioning the country firmly on the global stage.
Miss Namibia 2025, Johanna Swartbooi, will compete as Miss Universe Namibia at the Miss Universe 2025 pageant in Bangkok, Thailand, on 21 November. Founded in 1952, Miss Universe remains one of the most recognised competitions in the world, serving as a platform for empowerment, diversity, and advocacy. Swartbooi described her participation as “a dream stage where I can not only showcase our culture and beauty but also amplify the voices of young women back home.”
First Runner-Up Uatjiri Mbaisa, initially set to participate in Miss Earth, will instead compete at Miss International 2025 in Tokyo, Japan, on 27 November. Due to age restrictions at Miss Earth, Mbaisa was reassigned to Miss International, one of the world’s “Big Four” pageants established in 1960. She expressed her gratitude, saying: “I feel honoured to stand among global sisters in Tokyo and share Namibia’s spirit of peace, unity, and resilience with the world.”
Ndeshipewa Angula, who placed in the Top 5 of Miss Namibia 2025, will represent the nation at Miss Earth 2025 in Manila, Philippines, on 5 November. The pageant, established in 2001, focuses on sustainability and environmental advocacy. Angula said: “This is truly a platform that aligns with my passion for the environment, where I can advocate for Namibia’s natural treasures and our collective duty to protect the planet.”
MNO CEO Umbi Karuaihe-Upi praised the delegates, noting that all three women meet the requirements and embody the intelligence, leadership, and grace needed to make Namibia proud internationally.
With Swartbooi, Mbaisa, and Angula, Namibia strengthens its presence in the global pageantry arena while showcasing its values and aspirations to the world.
