Namibia–EU Business Forum Opens with Focus on Skills and Sustainable Trade. The 2nd Namibia–EU Business Forum officially opened at the Windhoek Country Club, bringing together leaders from business, government, academia, and youth to explore opportunities for economic growth and cooperation.

Day one of the forum featured dynamic Masterclasses under the EU Global Gateway, each designed to address critical areas of Namibia’s future economy. The sessions included:Skills & VET for green industrialisation and job creation.Unlocking EU market access through Rules of Origin under the Economic Partnership Agreement (EPA).Navigating EUDR & CBAM for sustainable trade opportunities.

The forum is hosted in partnership with the Ministry of International Relations and Cooperation–Namibia and the Namibia Investment Promotion and Development Board, underscoring the importance of collaboration in driving Namibia’s economic diversification agenda.

Officials highlighted that the masterclasses are not only about knowledge-sharing but also about equipping stakeholders with practical tools to engage effectively in global markets. The focus on vocational education and training reflects Namibia’s commitment to building a skilled workforce capable of supporting green industrialisation, while discussions on EU trade regulations aim to strengthen Namibia’s export competitiveness.

The event also provides a platform for dialogue on investment promotion and sustainable partnerships, reinforcing Namibia’s role in regional and international trade. By engaging diverse stakeholders, the forum seeks to create pathways for innovation, job creation, and inclusive growth.
