Bank of Namibia Welcomes 2026 Graduate Accelerated Programme Cohort

Bank of Namibia Welcomes 2026 Graduate Accelerated Programme Cohort. The Bank of Namibia has officially welcomed the 2026 intake of its Graduate Accelerated Programme (GAP), reaffirming its commitment to building national capacity and nurturing future leaders in the financial sector.

This year’s cohort includes Elizabeth Nuugulu, Kavejaruka Kazonguizi, Adriaan Grobler, Aidan Adams, Sebrinah Van Rooyen, Nelago Aluvilu, John Walenga, Anna Lubasi, and Ennie Samati. The graduates bring qualifications in law, economics, quantitative finance, industrial engineering (data science), and information security, obtained from leading institutions in Namibia, across Africa, and internationally.

The selected fields of study align directly with the skills required in today’s digital and interconnected economy. Data science strengthens analytical capacity and evidence-based decision-making. Information security supports digital resilience and financial system integrity. Quantitative finance enhances modelling and risk assessment, while law and economics underpin sound regulation, policy formulation, and market oversight.

The Graduate Accelerated Programme runs for 18 months, placing participants at the centre of the Bank’s operational and policy work. During this period, graduates are expected to contribute to substantive projects, support technical research, and develop the professional discipline required within a central bank environment.

Through GAP, the Bank of Namibia continues to invest in skills development, ensuring that the country builds a strong pipeline of professionals capable of safeguarding monetary and financial stability. The programme also reflects the Bank’s broader mandate to strengthen institutional capacity and prepare Namibia for the challenges of a rapidly evolving global economy.

By welcoming this diverse and highly skilled cohort, the Bank of Namibia underscores its vision of empowering young professionals to become future leaders in finance and policy.
