Namibia’s Ministry of International Relations and Trade Unveils Strategic Plan 2025–2030 to Strengthen Global Partnerships and National Prosperity. The Ministry of International Relations and Trade has launched its Strategic Plan 2025–2030, marking a pivotal step in aligning Namibia’s international engagement with its national development goals. The launch took place on 22 October 2025 in Windhoek.

The five-year plan serves as a blueprint to advance peace, security, and prosperity, while driving sustainable economic growth, trade, investment, and social inclusion. It also emphasizes youth and women empowerment, environmental sustainability, and the preservation of Namibia’s cultural heritage.

In her welcoming remarks, Ms. Ndiitah Nghipondoka-Robiati, Executive Director in the Ministry, underscored the importance of collaboration in achieving the plan’s objectives. “The effective implementation of our Ministerial Strategic Plan will depend on strong partnerships and collaborative efforts across government, the private sector, development partners, academia, civil society, and Namibian diaspora communities worldwide,” she said.

Delivering the keynote address, Hon. Selma Ashipala-Musavyi, Minister of International Relations and Trade, highlighted that the plan aligns with Namibia’s Seven National Development Priorities, serving as a roadmap to guide the Ministry’s direction through 2029/2030. “Today marks not only a significant milestone for the Ministry’s institutional journey, but reaffirms our shared commitment to advancing Namibia’s foreign policy, particularly in this rapidly changing global environment,” she stated.

Hon. Jenelly Matundu, Deputy Minister of International Relations and Trade, closed the event with a vote of thanks, emphasizing that Namibia’s success internationally depends on collective effort, innovation, and adaptability in a dynamic global landscape.
