NamPower Foundation Joins Mukopano Initiative to Strengthen Development Partnerships in NNamibia. NamPower, through the NamPower Foundation, has partnered with Namibia Corporate Social Investment on the Mukopano Initiative, which aims to strengthen collaboration among organisations involved in Namibia’s socio-economic development.

Mukopano brings together government, non-governmental organisations, funders and development partners as part of efforts to improve cooperation and support sustainable development initiatives in the country.

NamPower said the partnership reflects its participation in efforts to create greater collaboration among stakeholders working towards socio-economic development.

The power utility will also participate in the Mukopano Conference, where it plans to showcase its Corporate Social Investment (CSI) work and its contribution to Namibia’s development.

The conference provides a platform for stakeholders from different sectors to engage around development priorities and opportunities for collaboration.

Through the NamPower Foundation, the utility participates in corporate social investment activities, with the Mukopano partnership providing an opportunity to highlight this work alongside other organisations involved in development initiatives.

NamPower said collaboration between government, civil society, funders and development partners can help create greater and more sustainable impact.

The Mukopano Initiative therefore brings together stakeholders from across the development landscape, with the focus on strengthening partnerships rather than individual organisations working separately.

NamPower’s participation in the conference will also provide an opportunity for stakeholders to learn more about the organisation’s CSI activities and its role in supporting development in Namibia.

The partnership comes as organisations involved in corporate social investment and development continue to seek stronger coordination around initiatives intended to benefit communities.
