Wulff & Co Eyes 800 Tonnes of Namibian Beef in Expanded Meatco Partnership. Norway’s largest importer and wholesaler of premium meat products, Wulff & Co, has announced plans to acquire more than 800 tonnes of Namibian beef and related products, strengthening its partnership with Meatco.
A senior delegation from Wulff & Co recently met with Meatco’s interim CEO, Albertus Aochamub, in Windhoek to discuss trade and joint marketing strategies for the year ahead. Aochamub took over the interim role on 2 September 2025, succeeding Kingsley Kwenani, who now leads Meatco operations in the Northern Communal Area.
Since joining Meatco’s client portfolio about a year ago, Wulff & Co has already sourced 215 tonnes of Namibian beef, mainly premium vacuum-chilled cuts such as fillet, ribeye, striploin, topside and rump. The new commitment marks a significant increase in demand from Norway’s high-end hotel, restaurant, and catering markets.
Meatco noted that the collaboration highlights the company’s reputation for delivering beef of international standard. “Together, Meatco and Wulff & Co are building a sustainable partnership that champions quality, trust, and Namibia’s proud beef heritage,” the company said in a statement.
Namibian beef continues to enjoy strong global demand. During 2022/23, 46% of exports went to the European Union, followed by South Africa (20.5%), China (20.4%), and Norway (12.9%). Meatco reported N$865 million in revenue during the same period, up from N$752 million in 2021/22, with international sales accounting for more than N$563.8 million.
Wulff & Co, founded in 1962, has grown into Norway’s leading meat distributor, sourcing products globally. Its partnership with Meatco reflects Namibia’s growing role in premium beef exports and underlines the country’s competitiveness in international markets.
