NamPower Donation Boosts Resources at Etare Primary

NamPower Donation Boosts Resources at Etare Primary. Etare Primary School has received a significant boost to its teaching resources following a donation from NamPower. The company handed over a photocopying machine valued at N$16,700.00, providing much-needed support to the rural school located about 100 kilometers from Nkurenkuru.

During the handover ceremony, Principal Damian Kamukwanyama highlighted the challenges faced by the school due to its remote location. He explained that the nearest circuit office is approximately 45 kilometers away, making it difficult for teachers to access essential services such as printing and photocopying. The new machine, he said, will ease these difficulties and enhance the school’s ability to deliver quality education.

“This donation will make a meaningful difference in our daily operations and in the learning experience of our students,” Kamukwanyama noted. The availability of on-site printing and copying is expected to improve lesson preparation, administrative efficiency, and access to educational materials.

NamPower emphasized that the contribution forms part of its “Powering the Nation and Beyond” commitment, which focuses on investing in communities and supporting the future generation. By equipping schools with vital resources, the company aims to strengthen education in rural areas and ensure learners have better opportunities to succeed.

The donation underscores the importance of partnerships between corporations and educational institutions in addressing resource gaps. For Etare Primary, the photocopying machine represents more than just equipment—it is a tool that will help teachers provide consistent support to learners and reduce the logistical challenges of operating in a rural setting.
