Namibia’s Brave Gladiators Honored After Historic COSAFA Victory. The Brave Gladiators received a warm welcome at State House in Windhoek yesterday, where President H.E. Dr. Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah hosted the team following their landmark triumph at the Hollywoodbets COSAFA Women’s Championship.

The Gladiators made history by defeating South Africa’s Banyana Banyana 2–1 in the final at the New Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane, securing the 2026 COSAFA Cup title. The victory marked a defining moment for Namibian women’s football, elevating the team to regional champions and inspiring widespread national celebration.

President Nandi-Ndaitwah congratulated the players and technical staff, praising their discipline, determination, and resilience.
