Namibia Welcomes Global Financial Leaders at AFI Policy Forum. Namibia has made history this week as it hosts the Alliance for Financial Inclusion (AFI) Global Policy Forum for the very first time, bringing together more than 800 delegates from across the world to chart the future of inclusive finance.
The prestigious forum, widely regarded as the world’s leading platform for financial inclusion policy dialogue, has positioned Namibia as a regional hub for innovation and collaboration in the sector. Policymakers, central banks, financial regulators, development partners, and private sector leaders are engaging in discussions on digital finance, consumer empowerment, green finance, SME growth, and strategies to improve access to financial services in underserved communities.
Among the participants is FNB Namibia, one of the country’s largest financial services providers, which has joined the dialogue as part of its long-standing commitment to driving inclusion. The bank highlighted its role in expanding financial access through technology, community outreach, and tailored products designed to meet the needs of Namibians from all walks of life.
“Financial inclusion has always been at the core of what we do,” the bank noted, reaffirming its dedication to supporting initiatives that reduce inequality and empower individuals and businesses.
The event marks a milestone for Namibia, not only showcasing the country’s ability to host a high-level global gathering but also placing it at the centre of discussions that will shape financial inclusion policy for years to come. For entrepreneurs, SMEs, and financial institutions alike, the forum opens pathways to knowledge sharing, partnerships, and opportunities that extend beyond borders.
With Namibia on the global stage, the AFI Global Policy Forum is set to leave a lasting impact on how finance can drive inclusive growth across Africa and the world.
