Namibia’s Private Sector Leaders Unite to Strengthen National BBrand. Today, Namibia’s business leaders convened at the Brand Namibia High-Level Stakeholders Round Table, hosted by Hon. Minister Emma Theofelus, Minister of Information, Communication and Technology, to discuss strategies for enhancing the country’s global image.
The gathering brought together senior representatives from across the private sector, highlighting the role of businesses in shaping Namibia’s brand and fostering sustainable economic growth. Capricorn Group CEO, David Nuyoma, delivered the keynote address, urging companies and citizens alike to act as ambassadors for the nation.
“Every business and every citizen has a part to play in projecting Namibia’s identity internationally,” Nuyoma stated. “Through innovation, collaboration, and commitment, we can create opportunities, strengthen our economy, and build a prosperous, inclusive, and resilient Namibia.”
Discussions at the round table focused on how the private sector can contribute to a unified national brand that reflects Namibia’s values, culture, and economic potential. Leaders explored initiatives ranging from investment promotion and tourism to corporate social responsibility and innovation-driven enterprises. The session also emphasized the importance of collaboration between government and private entities to ensure consistent messaging and tangible outcomes for both local communities and international stakeholders.
Minister Theofelus highlighted the event’s significance in positioning Namibia as a competitive and forward-looking nation. She encouraged participants to champion the country’s narrative, not only through business practices but also by fostering inclusive growth and sustainable development.
The round table concluded with a call to action for all stakeholders to integrate Brand Namibia principles into their strategies, making it a shared mission to transform the country’s promise into reality. The event reinforced the notion that Namibia’s identity and economic potential are strengthened when the public and private sectors work in unison.
