Global Ambassadors Tour Namibia to Boost Tourism, Trade and Investment. Seventeen Global Ambassadors are currently touring Namibia as part of the Global Namibia 1 initiative, an effort led by Selma Kamanya, Miss World Namibia 2025, to promote the country’s visibility across tourism, trade, and investment sectors. The initiative is supported by the Ministry of Information and Communication Technology, under the Nationhood and National Programme.
The tour brings together international content creators and public figures with a combined social media following of approximately 700,000, offering Namibia an opportunity to reach global audiences through digital storytelling. Their posts, photographs, and travel experiences aim to highlight Namibia’s landscapes, cultural sites, and economic potential to both new and existing audiences.
Since their arrival, the ambassadors have visited key destinations across the country. Their itinerary has included Sossusvlei, King Nehale in Etosha, the Ongandjera Palace, Uukwaluudhi Palace, the coastal town of Swakopmund, Sandwich Harbour, the Walvis Bay Salt Factory, and the well-known Pink Lake. Through their coverage, each location has been showcased to audiences who may be unfamiliar with the diversity and beauty Namibia offers.
The Global Namibia 1 initiative forms part of a broader effort to strengthen the country’s national brand. By providing authentic experiences and access to notable destinations, the programme aims to broaden international awareness and encourage future travel, business exploration, and investment interest.
The tour concludes tomorrow with a Gala Dinner – Summit in Windhoek, where participants and officials will reflect on the initiative’s outcomes. The closing event also serves as an opportunity to reinforce Namibia’s long-term goal of positioning itself as a competitive and attractive destination across multiple sectors.
Namibia’s growing digital visibility through this initiative continues to support national efforts to share the country’s story with the world.
