Eleven Arrows, Young African, and KK Palace Start Namibia Premier League Season SStrong. The 2025-2026 Namibia Premier Football League season kicked off with exciting results across the country as several teams showcased their ambitions for the new campaign.

Eleven Arrows claimed a 2-1 victory over coastal rivals Blue Waters in Walvis Bay on Saturday. Early in the match, Arrows created multiple opportunities, including a missed free kick, before Willem Pinehas opened the scoring on the right-hand side. Just before halftime, Tjitjuheiue Kurija, known as Kroos and wearing the number 9 jersey, doubled the lead with a precise strike into the left-hand corner.

Blue Waters responded in the second half, dominating possession and generating multiple chances. Their efforts paid off in the 72nd minute when Angelo Kuezi converted a free kick into the right-hand corner. Despite mounting pressure in the final minutes, Eleven Arrows held on for the win. Coach George Hummel praised his team, highlighting their hard work and determination, while Blue Waters coach Armando Pedro reflected on areas for improvement and the importance of converting chances in future matches.

In Windhoek, Young African secured a 3-0 win over Tigers FC, with all three goals scored by new signings: Namibian forward Aubrey Amseb, South Africa’s Lethabo Raphalo, and Ivory Coast’s Walid Traoré. The trio made an immediate impact, demonstrating the team’s attacking strength and integration of new talent.

Meanwhile, KK Palace continued their strong form in the north, defeating Eeshoke Chula Chula 2-1 in Oshakati. Goals from new signing Vickson Shivute and Precious secured the win, while Chula Chula’s youngster Michael “Bwebwe” scored his first league goal. KK Palace remain unbeaten against Chula Chula in the Premier League, with two wins and one draw across three encounters.

The opening round also featured a 1-1 draw between Ongos FC and UNAM FC at Independence Stadium. UNAM initially led through Vjihimsa Siririka in the 58th minute, but Simon Elago equalised for Ongos in the 79th minute, extending his scoring record to four goals in three matches against UNAM.
