Namibia and China Reaffirm Bilateral Cooperation. The Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to Namibia, H.E. Zhao Weiping, paid a courtesy visit to the Deputy Minister of International Relations and Trade, Honourable Jenelly Matundu, on Friday, 19 September 2025.

The engagement highlighted the long-standing friendship and cooperation between Namibia and China, which has developed steadily over the years. Both parties reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening bilateral ties, with discussions centred on enhancing collaboration across priority sectors.

The meeting also reflected the shared interest of the two countries in expanding opportunities for mutual growth. Namibia continues to view China as a strategic partner in areas such as trade, infrastructure development, skills transfer, and investment, while China has consistently expressed support for Namibia’s socio-economic advancement.
