Miss Universe Namibia Johanna Swartbooi Joins #BeFree Youth Campus 2nd Anniversary. Miss Universe Namibia 2025, Johanna Swartbooi, joined stakeholders, leaders, and young people in celebrating the second anniversary of the #BeFree Youth Campus, a landmark initiative dedicated to empowering Namibia’s youth

Swartbooi toured the facilities and spent time engaging directly with children and young people. She participated in reading sessions and interactive discussions, highlighting the importance of mentorship, education, and community-driven initiatives in shaping future leaders.

The celebration also brought together prominent figures, including former First Lady and One Economy Foundation Board Executive Chairperson Monica Geingos, Executive Director and Director of Health and Wellness Dr. Veronica Rose Theron, Miss Namibia Organization CEO Umbi Karuaihe-Upi, Business and Transformational Coach Estelle Tjipuka, Miss World Namibia 2025 Selma Kamanya, and Miss Africa International Namibia 2025 Quintina Tjizumaue.

The #BeFree Youth Campus, established as a safe and inclusive hub for young people between the ages of 13 and 35, houses initiatives such as the #BeFree Cares Clinic, The Spark Lab, and the STEM Centre. Together, these facilities provide health services, educational support, innovation platforms, and entrepreneurship opportunities aimed at preparing young Namibians for a brighter future.

Over the past two years, the Campus has become a key driver in advancing youth development by fostering resilience, innovation, and self-empowerment. The anniversary marked not only a milestone for the initiative but also a reaffirmation of its mission to help young people break free from challenges that hold them back.

The event closed on an optimistic note, with calls to continue strengthening youth-focused initiatives that contribute to health, education, and economic participation.
