Education Executive Director Reviews Progress at Eenhana Sport Complex Project. The Eenhana Vocational Training Centre recently welcomed a courtesy visit from Gerard Vries, Executive Director in the Ministry of Education, Innovation, Youth, Sport and Culture, as part of an engagement focused on skills development and infrastructure progress.
he visit provided an opportunity for the Executive Director to familiarise himself with developments at the Eenhana Sport Complex and assess the work completed so far. Officials said the engagement formed part of ongoing institutional interaction between government leadership and training centres involved in practical development initiatives.
During the visit, progress updates were shared on the construction of the sport field, which is currently being carried out by trainees and instructors from the vocational training centre. The project provides a practical learning environment where students apply technical skills in a real construction setting under supervision.
Mr Vries expressed satisfaction with the progress made to date, according to representatives from the training centre. The engagement also provided an opportunity to observe how skills training programmes are integrated into infrastructure development activities.
The construction work is being undertaken as part of hands on training efforts designed to strengthen practical competencies among students. Officials noted that the project reflects the application of technical instruction in a working environment, allowing trainees to gain experience while contributing to local development.
The visit also highlighted continued cooperation between the training institution and government structures responsible for education and youth development in Namibia.
Representatives of the training centre expressed appreciation for the visit and ongoing support for skills development initiatives, noting that engagements of this nature strengthen institutional collaboration and provide visibility for training based infrastructure projects.
