Minister Applauds Hasholo Trading cc for Driving Local Manufacturing in Ohangwena. Honourable Selma Ashipala Musavyi, Minister of International Relations and Trade, continued her Regional Business Engagement programme in the Ohangwena Region with a visit to Hasholo Trading cc on Friday, 14 November 2025. The visit marked an important stop in her broader effort to connect with local enterprises and gain first hand insight into business activity within rural communities.
Hasholo Trading cc, a women owned clothing manufacturer based in Eenhana, has established itself as a local leader in the production of quality garments. The enterprise focuses on jersey knitting, school uniforms, and a range of stylish clothing items that cater to community needs while showcasing homegrown craftsmanship. Through its work, the business continues to contribute to the local value chain and demonstrate the competitive potential of rural manufacturing.
During the engagement, the Minister toured the facility, interacted with staff, and observed various stages of the production process. She commended the business for its innovation and attention to detail, noting how its operations reflect both skill and dedication. Honourable Ashipala Musavyi also highlighted the enterprise’s commitment to empowering women, particularly through job creation and practical skills development in the region.
The visit underscored the importance of supporting small and medium enterprises that are building local capacity and driving economic participation outside major urban centres. By engaging with businesses like Hasholo Trading cc, the Minister reinforced government’s interest in strengthening regional industries, improving market access, and advancing economic inclusion.
As the Regional Business Engagement programme continues, enterprises across the Ohangwena Region are expected to benefit from increased visibility and dialogue with national leadership. Hasholo Trading cc’s work serves as a reminder of the role rural businesses play in Namibia’s broader economic growth story.
