Revivals and NCS Reign Supreme as MTC Volleyball National League Wraps Up in Swakopmund

Revivals and NCS Reign Supreme as MTC Volleyball National League Wraps Up in Swakopmund. The 2025 MTC Volleyball National League came to an exciting close at the MTC Dome in Swakopmund on Saturday, with Revivals Volleyball Club and the Namibia Correctional Service (NCS) once again crowned national champions in the women’s and men’s divisions respectively.

The season finale concluded an eight-round national campaign that brought together 16 of Namibia’s top volleyball teams — eight men’s and eight women’s — representing clubs from across the country. Both title-winning sides received trophies, gold medals, and N$40 000 cash prizes courtesy of the league’s title sponsor, MTC.

Revivals Volleyball Club successfully defended their title after a dominant campaign, sealing back-to-back championships with consistent performances and solid teamwork. In the men’s division, NCS proved their strength and experience once again, edging out rivals to retain their national crown despite their two-year unbeaten run ending during the season at the hands of NamPol in a thrilling five-set tiebreak.

NamPol Volleyball Club earned third place in both divisions, taking home N$10 000 cash, airtime vouchers, and other sponsored prizes. NDF Phoenixes finished as runners-up in the women’s league, rounding off an impressive campaign.

During the awards ceremony, Namibia Volleyball Federation (NVF) President Tobias Mwatelulo praised the dedication of athletes, clubs, and sponsors for elevating the sport. He highlighted the ongoing collaboration between the NVF and Namibia’s uniformed forces, which continues to create employment and development opportunities for young players.

In a major boost for the sport, MTC’s Head of Events Coordination, Bertha Nangombe, announced an increase in sponsorship funding from N$1 million to N$1.3 million for the 2026 season, reaffirming the telecom giant’s commitment to developing Namibian volleyball and nurturing future talent.
