Youth Empowerment Takes Centre Stage at Rundu Trade Fair 2025. The Ministry of Education, Innovation, Youth, Sports, Arts and Culture, through its Directorate of Youth Development, is showcasing youth-driven entrepreneurship at the 8th Edition of the Rundu Trade Fair 2025. The event, themed “Empowering Enterprises for Sustainable Growth,” has drawn a wide range of participants and businesses committed to fostering regional economic development.

At the fair, the Ministry is using its platform to raise awareness about its mandate, ongoing programmes, and youth empowerment initiatives. Its participation underscores the government’s continued commitment to creating opportunities that equip young Namibians with the tools, resources, and support systems necessary to thrive in the modern economy.

As part of its exhibition, the Directorate of Youth Development has introduced three young entrepreneurs supported through the Namibia Youth Credit Scheme (NYCS). These entrepreneurs are showcasing and marketing their innovative products — a tangible reflection of the scheme’s role in nurturing sustainable youth-led enterprises. The inclusion of these young business owners also aligns with the fair’s broader goal of empowering enterprises and promoting growth through innovation and entrepreneurship.

Visitors are encouraged to engage with Ministry representatives at the main hall stand to learn more about youth development opportunities, funding mechanisms, and training programmes available across Namibia.
