It is these everyday realities that inspired South African gospel collective Omega Circle to create the official music video for their latest single, Ungasabi, released today.

Rather than producing a traditional performance video, the collective chose to tell the stories of ordinary people whose lives have been interrupted by life’s greatest challenges. The result is a deeply moving visual that reminds viewers they are not alone.

The opening three minutes are intentionally emotional.

One character receives the devastating news that they have lost their job. Another sits alone after saying goodbye to a loved one. A young person quietly wrestles with depression while another family wonders where their next meal will come from. Elsewhere, sickness, bankruptcy and broken relationships leave people questioning whether things will ever get better.

Yet throughout every difficult scene, one message continues to echo.

“Ungasabi. Ungalahli ithemba. Don’t be afraid. He is the Redeemer. Ungasabi. He will never forsake you.”

The words become more than lyrics—they become a reminder for anyone who has ever wondered whether hope still exists.

As the song reaches its final moments, the atmosphere begins to change.

The same people who appeared overwhelmed by life’s struggles slowly begin rebuilding their lives. Some find the courage to seek therapy and confront emotional pain. Others are shown praying through difficult seasons before experiencing breakthrough. Families embrace after years apart. Graduates celebrate long-awaited qualifications. Young couples discover love, while others welcome children into their lives. Dreams that once seemed impossible begin to unfold as new homeowners receive their keys and families celebrate fresh beginnings.

Rather than suggesting life changes overnight, the music video paints a picture of redemption—one step, one prayer and one act of faith at a time.

The release follows Omega Circle’s previous single, Ngembathe, which has become an unexpected social media success. The worship anthem has inspired more than 3,000 user-generated videos, with people using the song as the soundtrack to everything from morning routines and family gatherings to personal testimonies of healing and gratitude.

The collective hopes Ungasabi will resonate in a different but equally meaningful way.

Speaking about the release, a member of Omega Circle said the group wanted viewers to see themselves in the stories unfolding on screen.

“We are really excited to showcase this music video for Ungasabi. The video shows a lot of life’s vulnerabilities, people going through difficult times and finally things starting to look up and get better, which speaks to God being the Redeemer. We really believe this music video will resonate with so many people who have had to lean on their faith in extremely difficult and taxing times.”

The music video also launches a five-part social media campaign exploring themes such as grief, anxiety, restoration and hope. Each instalment will carry one unifying message:

“Be kind. Everyone is fighting a silent battle.”

For Omega Circle, that message is perhaps the most important part of the project.

In a world where people often hide their pain behind smiles, Ungasabi reminds us that compassion costs nothing, kindness can change a life and even the darkest chapter is not the end of someone’s story.

The single appears on the collective’s latest EP, Spirit Lift Me, continuing Omega Circle’s mission of creating music that speaks honestly about life’s hardships while pointing listeners towards hope, healing and the promise that God never abandons His people.
