Project 1000 Launches to Equip Namibian Youth with Digital Skills. The Ministry of Information and Communication Technology has announced the launch of Project 1000 – Digital Skills for Employment, an initiative aimed at empowering unemployed youth with critical digital competencies to thrive in the modern economy.

The program is open to Namibian youth aged 18–30 and offers eight weeks of digital skills training, combining classroom instruction with hands-on experience. Participants will gain exposure to practical tools and knowledge designed to prepare them for opportunities in the growing digital economy.Applications for the program are currently open and will close on 15 March 2026. Interested candidates are encouraged to apply online through the official application portal.

Project 1000 reflects the Ministry’s commitment to addressing youth unemployment by equipping young people with skills that align with emerging opportunities in technology-driven industries. By focusing on digital literacy and practical application, the initiative aims to bridge the gap between education and employment, ensuring that participants are better positioned to contribute to Namibia’s economic transformation.
