Old Mutual Namibia Ignites Financial Empowerment at First Young Professionals Event in Rundu. Old Mutual Namibia hosted its inaugural Young Professionals event in Rundu, bringing together a diverse group of early-career professionals for an evening focused on financial empowerment, personal growth, and future preparedness.

Held under the theme “Fuel Your Future. Protect Your Present,” the event drew participation from young doctors, engineers, lawyers, entrepreneurs, and other professionals eager to build solid financial foundations and explore strategies for long-term success.

The evening began with welcoming remarks from Naftali Amukena, Sales Manager – Personal Finance Advice, followed by a keynote address from Nikanor Ruben, Regional Manager – North. Ruben encouraged attendees to remain grounded in knowledge while proactively planning for the uncertainties and opportunities of the future.

A highlight of the evening was the panel discussion, moderated by Ndadhi Ndoroma, General Manager for Personal Finance Advice. The panel featured seasoned experts from Old Mutual who covered key aspects of personal and professional financial well-being:

• Toxie Shangula, Business Development Manager at Old Mutual Investments, spoke about the practical differences between saving and investing, offering insights on how to align financial choices with long-term goals.
• Claudia Naris, Sales Manager at Old Mutual Short-Term Insurance, shared valuable guidance on protecting assets, both personal and professional.
• Jeffrey Isaacs, Product Marketing Specialist at Old Mutual Life, discussed income protection strategies and how to plan for life’s unexpected challenges.

The Rundu event marked the start of a series, with the next stop set for Oshakati in July. Old Mutual Namibia aims to equip young professionals across the country with tools and knowledge to take charge of their financial futures.
