Namibia Keeps Fuel Prices Unchanged for July 2025 Despite Under-Recoveries

Namibia Keeps Fuel Prices Unchanged for July 2025 Despite Under-Recoveries. The Ministry of Industries, Mines and Energy has confirmed that fuel prices across Namibia will remain unchanged for the month of July 2025, despite recording significant under-recoveries.

According to the Ministry’s official statement, the under-recoveries stood at 53.01 cents per litre for petrol, 59.79 cents per litre for diesel 50ppm, and 53.54 cents per litre for diesel 10ppm. These under-recoveries reflect the difference between actual import costs and current pump prices.

Despite these figures, the Ministry announced that there would be no changes to the pump prices for petrol or diesel. This decision is aimed at maintaining price stability for consumers across the country.

In Walvis Bay, which serves as Namibia’s fuel pricing benchmark zone, the official pump prices will remain as follows:

  • Petrol: N$ 20.37 per litre
  • Diesel 50ppm: N$ 19.92 per litre
  • Diesel 10ppm: N$ 20.02 per litre

The Ministry also confirmed that fuel prices in all other regions of Namibia will remain at their current levels. These adjustments or in this case, the continuation of current pricing, will take effect on Wednesday, 2 July 2025.

Fuel price reviews are conducted monthly by the Ministry to assess global oil prices, exchange rates, and other economic indicators. The decision to maintain current prices, even in the face of under-recoveries, comes at a time when fuel affordability continues to be a critical issue for both households and businesses across the country.
