Ministry of Justice and Labour Relations Welcomes New Executive Director

Ministry of Justice and Labour Relations Welcomes New Executive Director. Staff members of the Ministry of Justice and Labour Relations on Tuesday formally welcomed the newly appointed Executive Director and Accounting Officer, Mr. Ben Nangombe, during a reception held at the Ministry’s headquarters. The event marked Mr. Nangombe’s first official engagement with ministry staff following his appointment.

Mr. Nangombe was received by senior management, led by Dr. Audrin Mathe, who used the occasion to welcome his new counterpart as they begin their respective leadership responsibilities within the Ministry. The gathering provided an opportunity for staff and management to acknowledge the transition and introduce the new leadership structure overseeing the Ministry’s key departments.

Under the current arrangement, Mr. Nangombe will head the Department of Labour Relations, while Dr. Mathe will lead the Department of Justice. Both departments fall under the Ministry of Justice and Labour Relations, with each playing a central role in the administration of justice, labour regulation, and public service delivery.

The formal welcome underscored the importance of collaboration between the two departments as they work within a unified ministry framework. Senior officials highlighted the need for effective coordination to ensure that departmental mandates are carried out efficiently and in line with established policies and legal frameworks.

The occasion also served as a platform to introduce Mr. Nangombe to ministry personnel and to reaffirm the shared responsibility of leadership and staff in advancing the Ministry’s objectives. While no formal policy announcements were made, the gathering reflected a focus on continuity and stability within the institution.

The appointment of Mr. Nangombe and the leadership role assumed by Dr. Mathe signal the start of a new chapter for the Ministry of Justice and Labour Relations. The Ministry noted that strengthening governance, enhancing service delivery, and improving institutional coordination remain central to its ongoing work.

Staff members expressed their support for the new leadership team as they begin their duties within the Ministry.
