Kavango East Schools Receive Digital Equipment Boost Through Public-Private Partnership. Three schools in the Kavango East Region have received new digital learning equipment following a donation initiative led by the Kavango East Regional Governor’s Office in partnership with Reransingwe Fishing Company.
The donation included a laptop and a printer for each beneficiary school, with the total value of the contribution estimated at N.dollars 45,000. The initiative forms part of ongoing efforts to support education delivery and strengthen access to digital resources within schools in the region.
The beneficiary institutions are Jafet Haiyambo Primary School, Sarasungu Combined School and Ruben Makaranga Combined School. The equipment is expected to support administrative functions and teaching and learning activities at the schools.
Speaking during the handover, Kavango East Regional Governor Hambyuka Hamunyera expressed appreciation to Reransingwe Fishing Company for its continued involvement in education support initiatives. He acknowledged the company’s role in complementing government efforts to improve learning conditions and expand digital access in schools.
Governor Hamunyera noted that access to basic digital tools remains an important component of modern education systems, particularly as schools increasingly rely on technology for administration, lesson preparation and learner support. He emphasised the value of partnerships between the public and private sectors in addressing resource gaps within the education system.
The donation reflects a collaborative approach aimed at strengthening education outcomes through targeted support to schools. By equipping schools with essential tools, the initiative contributes to creating an enabling environment for educators and learners alike.Representatives from the participating schools welcomed the donation, noting the practical value of the equipment for daily school operations. The laptops and printers are expected to assist with record-keeping, teaching preparation and other academic-related tasks.
The Kavango East Regional Governor’s Office reiterated its commitment to working with stakeholders to support education development across the region. The office also encouraged continued cooperation with private sector partners in initiatives that enhance learning environments and promote equitable access to educational resources.
