Maltahöhe Village Council Strengthens Ties with City of Windhoek During Courtesy Visit

Maltahöhe Village Council Strengthens Ties with City of Windhoek During Courtesy Visit. The Maltahöhe Village Council paid a courtesy visit to the City of Windhoek today, reaffirming their ongoing cooperation under a sister city partnership. The delegation, led by Chairperson E.M. Skrywer, and joined by Councillors Paul U.R. Bock and Juliane Ndeunyema, met with Her Worship, Mayor Ndeshihafela Larandja, to discuss matters of mutual interest in local governance and municipal collaboration.

The visit coincided with the delegation’s meeting with Mr. Israel Kahiurika, Manager of Fleet Management, as part of efforts to strengthen technical and administrative coordination between the two municipalities.

During the discussions, the Maltahöhe delegation followed up on a formal letter concerning the repair of their sewer truck, which had been previously submitted to the City of Windhoek. Mayor Larandja confirmed receipt of the correspondence and assured the delegation that the matter is being handled by the relevant technical department.

Expressing her appreciation for the visit, Mayor Larandja highlighted the importance of solidarity among local authorities, especially under the framework of their Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). “We are sisters and colleagues through the Memorandum of Understanding,” she said. “It is always encouraging to support one another and share skills and knowledge for the benefit of our communities.”

The courtesy visit reinforces the commitment of both councils to their sister city relationship, which promotes the exchange of expertise, resource-sharing, and collaborative solutions in service delivery and community development.
