Josephine Shaapopi Crowned Miss Petite Global Namibia 2025. Over the weekend, Josephine Shaapopi was crowned Miss Petite Global Namibia 2025 at a prestigious event hosted at a Windhoek hotel. The 21-year-old fashion design student at the College of the Arts not only secured the top title but also won Miss Photogenic, an award decided by professional photographers from MP Studios Namibia.
The Miss Petite Global Namibia pageant celebrates women under 168cm in height, providing a platform for those who may not fit traditional modelling standards. Shaapopi, who has faced challenges due to industry expectations, described her victory as a powerful and surreal moment.
The competition also saw 26-year-old teacher Linda Jesaya take the first runner-up position, along with the Public Choice Award, while 21-year-old entrepreneur Janet Kaindume was named second runner-up. The evening was further elevated by a performance from Rencha The Angelbaby, adding a touch of glamour to the celebrations.

Shaapopi’s journey to the crown wasn’t without obstacles. Balancing her studies, work as a makeup artist, and pageant preparation tested her endurance. However, she credits her confidence, hard work, and determination for pushing through.
As the new Miss Petite Global Namibia, Shaapopi is eager to inspire and uplift other young women. She plans to launch a mentorship program for aspiring pageant contestants, helping them navigate both the competition world and personal growth.
National director Bobby Kaanjosa expressed pride in the competition’s mission, stating that it gives petite women the same opportunities as those who meet traditional modelling standards. Now, Shaapopi is set to represent Namibia at the Miss Petite Global international pageant in Malaysia this May. The global competition will bring together petite women from around the world, showcasing diversity, individuality, and beauty beyond size expectations.
