High Stakes and Tight Margins Define Capricorn Schools Netball League Weekend. The Capricorn Schools Netball League served up another weekend of tense and competitive fixtures, with title contenders in several age divisions fighting to secure their spots ahead of the national finals on 22 and 23 August.

In the Under-19 division, Windhoek Gymnasium maintained their lead at the top of the log with 39 points, while Windhoek High School trails closely with 36 points. Both sides remain strong favourites for a place in the finals. The U/17 category is proving equally intense, with Jan Möhr and Windhoek Gymnasium locked on 33 points each, leaving no room for error in the remaining fixtures.

Windhoek Gymnasium’s dominance extends into the U/15 division, where they hold 27 points, though Walvis Bay Private School is keeping the pressure on just three points behind. In the U/14 standings, Windhoek Afrikaanse Privaatskool (WAP) leads the way with 39 points, while Windhoek Gymnasium sits within striking distance at 36.

The U/13 division sees WAP in control at the top, but with Pro-Ed Akademie and Windhoek Gymnasium in close pursuit, the race for the finals remains wide open. Windhoek Gymnasium is also poised to finish strong in the U/12 category, enjoying a five-point advantage over Pionierspark Primary School.

With such tight margins across multiple divisions, the closing weeks of the season promise high drama and decisive encounters. Every point will count as teams jostle for supremacy and a coveted spot in the finals.
