BURS Announces Auction of Unserviceable Items at Selebi Phikwe Office. The Botswana Unified Revenue Service (BURS) has announced a public auction of unserviceable items to be held at its Selebi Phikwe Regional Office on Wednesday, 12 June 2025. The auction is set to begin at 08:30 AM, with registration scheduled between 08:00 and 08:30 AM on the day.

Interested buyers will have the opportunity to inspect the items on offer during the designated viewing period, which takes place on Tuesday, 11 June 2025, from 08:30 to 16:30 at the auction venue.

The items to be sold include:Unserviceable furniture and household equipmentUsed tyresUsed air conditioners

All items will be auctioned “as is,” with no warranties or guarantees offered regarding their condition, age, or origin. BURS has set reserve prices for the items, and only bids that meet or exceed these reserves will be considered. Bidding will be open only to citizens of Botswana and wholly citizen-owned companies. Valid Omang or company documents will be required for participation.

Items will be sold in lot numbers, and BURS retains the right to accept or reject any bid. Successful bidders are expected to make full payment in cash on the day of the sale. Removal of purchased items will only be allowed upon presentation of an official receipt, and buyers will assume full responsibility for transport and associated risks.

Entrepreneurs, small businesses, and community organisations are encouraged to attend, as the auction offers a cost-effective opportunity to acquire equipment and materials for reuse or repurposing.
