ICT Ministry Explores Digital Solutions with DDinapama. The Minister of Information and Communication Technology, Hon. Emma Theofelus, together with Deputy Minister Hon. Wenzel Kavaka and key stakeholders, visited Dinapama Manufacturing and Supplies to explore how the company can leverage ICT solutions to enhance its business visibility and better share information about its products and services with the public.

Addressing staff members during the engagement, Theofelus commended employees for their dedication and emphasized the importance of technology across all sectors of the economy. She explained that the visit was aimed at understanding Dinapama’s operations and identifying ways government can support Namibian-owned businesses with growth potential.

Dinapama currently employs 536 staff members, with 90% being youth, making it one of the country’s largest youth-driven enterprises. The company’s Managing Director, David Namalenga, used the occasion to call on government to develop policies that support industrial growth and create decent employment opportunities for Namibians.

“Communication plays a pivotal role in attracting opportunities and giving the youth hope. We can grow enterprises by showcasing what we have to offer, and this can only be achieved through collaborative efforts,” Namalenga said.

The engagement highlighted the role of ICT in strengthening business competitiveness, particularly in manufacturing and supply industries. By adopting digital tools, Dinapama aims to expand its reach, improve efficiency, and position itself more effectively in both local and international markets.

The visit reflects government’s broader commitment to supporting Namibian enterprises, promoting youth employment, and advancing digital transformation as part of the country’s economic development agenda.
