NTA and NUST Renew Partnership to Strengthen TVET in NNamibia. The Namibia Training Authority (NTA) and the Namibia University of Science and Technology (NUST) have reaffirmed their shared commitment to advancing skills development and workforce readiness through a renewed partnership.
On 12 May 2026, Mr. Tobias Nambala, General Manager for TVET Regulation and Acting GM for TVET Transformation and VTC Development, met with Prof. Andrew Niikondo, Acting Vice-Chancellor of NUST, and his delegation at Windhoek. The engagement focused on formalising a new Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) and Training Grant Agreement (TGA) to replace the expired agreement, aligning with Namibia’s current TVET priorities.
Mr. Nambala emphasized that the partnership reflects a shared responsibility in shaping the future of TVET, ensuring that Namibia’s workforce is equipped with skills relevant to the evolving economy. Prof. Niikondo echoed the importance of collaboration, noting that the renewed framework will strengthen innovation and sustainability in vocational and technical education.
The agreement underscores the role of institutional partnerships in driving national development. By combining resources and expertise, NTA and NUST aim to create a stronger, more sustainable framework for joint initiatives that serve both the people and the economy of Namibia.
