Planned Power Interruption Scheduled for Windhoek CBD and Surrounding Areas. The City of Windhoek has issued a public notice informing residents and businesses in the Central Business District (CBD) and nearby areas of a planned power interruption set for 15 February 2026.

According to the notice, the electricity supply will be interrupted from 12:00 to 18:00 on the scheduled date. The planned outage will affect both residential and commercial customers located within the CBD and surrounding areas.

The City shared the information in advance to ensure that those affected are aware of the temporary disruption and can make the necessary preparations. Businesses operating in the CBD, along with residents living in and around the area, are encouraged to take note of the scheduled time frame.

Planned power interruptions are typically communicated ahead of time to minimize inconvenience and allow for contingency planning. During the six-hour period, customers in the affected areas should expect no electricity supply.

The City of Windhoek has not indicated any additional time frames beyond the scheduled interruption window. Electricity services are expected to resume once the planned interruption period concludes.

Residents and businesses are advised to plan accordingly for the temporary outage on 15 February 2026. Those operating equipment or services that rely on a continuous power supply may need to take precautionary measures ahead of the interruption.

The City of Windhoek continues to use public notices to keep communities informed about service-related matters affecting daily life and business operations.
