MTC Introduces 18 Excellence Awards for Second Branding and Marketing Indaba

MTC Introduces 18 Excellence Awards for Second Branding and Marketing Indaba. Mobile Telecommunications Company (MTC) has announced the introduction of 18 excellence award categories for the second edition of the MTC Branding and Marketing Indaba, marking a new addition to this year’s programme.

The awards will be presented on 10 April during the MTC Branding and Marketing Indaba Gala Dinner, which will be held in Windhoek. The ceremony forms part of activities linked to the second edition of the indaba, which brings together branding, marketing, and communications professionals.

According to MTC, the introduction of the awards is intended to recognise achievement and contribution within the branding and marketing space. The 18 categories are designed to acknowledge individuals and organisations that have demonstrated notable performance and impact within the industry.

MTC’s Chief Brand, Marketing, Communications, and Sustainability Officer, Tim Ekandjo, said the awards aim to honour excellence across various areas of branding and marketing. He stated that the recognition is focused on celebrating meaningful contributions and professional standards within the sector.

Ekandjo noted that the awards form part of MTC’s broader efforts to support the growth and development of the branding and marketing industry. He added that recognising excellence provides an opportunity to highlight work that has influenced industry practice and professional development.

The MTC Branding and Marketing Indaba serves as a platform for dialogue, learning, and engagement among industry stakeholders. The addition of the awards introduces a recognition component to the programme, complementing discussions and presentations held during the indaba.

The gala dinner will host the official awards presentation, where recipients across the 18 categories will be announced. MTC has not released further details regarding nomination criteria or judging processes as part of the announcement.

The introduction of the awards reflects an expansion of the Branding and Marketing Indaba programme during its second edition. MTC indicated that the awards are intended to become a feature of the indaba, recognising excellence within the industry.

The awards ceremony on 10 April is expected to conclude the indaba activities, bringing together participants, stakeholders, and industry representatives for the formal recognition of achievement in branding and marketing.
