FNB Namibia Champions Financial Inclusion at Global Policy Forum in Swakopmund. Over the past few days, FNB Namibia has actively participated in the Alliance for Financial Inclusion (AFI) Global Policy Forum, held in Swakopmund, contributing to discussions on expanding financial access across Africa.

Conrad Dempsey, CEO of FirstRand Namibia, delivered the keynote address, emphasizing that FNB’s vision extends beyond serving the privileged. He highlighted the bank’s commitment to “bank the possibility of every African in every community,” underlining the importance of inclusive financial systems in driving economic growth.

Adding to the dialogue, Nangula Kauluma, incoming CEO of FNB Retail at Broader Africa, stressed that financial inclusion is not only a challenge for Africa but a global opportunity to innovate and empower underserved populations. Her remarks framed financial inclusion as both an economic and social imperative for governments, businesses, and communities.

FNB Namibia also showcased practical initiatives supporting inclusive finance. Nina Louw, Strategy and Business Development Manager, shared insights on inclusive green finance, demonstrating how sustainability and accessibility can work hand-in-hand to benefit both the environment and local communities.

Other FNB representatives, including Sergio De Sousa, Chief Data and Analytics Officer, and Yeoman Hamilton, Head of Transact Retail Banking, reinforced the bank’s commitment to leveraging innovation, technology, and data to create financial ecosystems that empower individuals and small businesses.

As the AFI Global Policy Forum concludes, FNB Namibia continues to reaffirm its role in advancing financial inclusion, ensuring that policy discussions translate into actionable strategies that expand access, foster entrepreneurship, and promote economic resilience.
