UNAM Men’s Darts Team Clinches 2025 Corporate League Title in Second Season

UNAM Men’s Darts Team Clinches 2025 Corporate League Title in Second Season. The University of Namibia (UNAM) has celebrated a remarkable achievement as its Men’s Staff Darts Team claimed the championship in the 2025 Corporate Darts League. This marks only the team’s second season in the competition, highlighting a rapid ascent from their debut performance in 2024, where they finished sixth.

This year, UNAM expanded its participation, registering separate male and female teams. The men’s squad demonstrated consistent skill, strategy, and teamwork throughout the league, ultimately securing the title and establishing themselves as a formidable presence in corporate darts. Meanwhile, the women’s team put up a strong performance and finished sixth overall, signaling promising potential for future competitions.

Individual accolades were also awarded to UNAM players for outstanding performance. Tomas Namupala of the Men’s Team earned the Best Male Player award, recognized for his precision and competitive consistency. On the women’s side, Imelda Nerongo received the Best Female Player award, reflecting her steady hand and sharp focus throughout the league. Both players’ achievements underscore the depth of talent present among UNAM staff and the growing standard of competitive darts within the university.

The victory is seen as a milestone for UNAM, showcasing how commitment, preparation, and teamwork can quickly elevate newcomers in competitive settings. Beyond the trophy, the success also strengthens staff camaraderie and highlights the role of sports in fostering engagement and a sense of community within the university environment.

As UNAM looks ahead to future editions of the Corporate Darts League, the focus will be on building on this momentum, encouraging participation across departments, and continuing to develop both male and female talent in the sport.
