Proflight Zambia to Launch Lusaka–Windhoek Route via Livingstone in 2026

Proflight Zambia to Launch Lusaka–Windhoek Route via Livingstone in 2026. Air Connect Namibia has officially announced the introduction of Proflight Zambia’s new scheduled service connecting Lusaka and Windhoek, with a stopover in Livingstone. The three-times-per-week route will commence on 3 March 2026, marking a significant addition to regional air connectivity.

The service will operate on Tuesdays, Fridays, and Sundays. Departures from Lusaka’s Kenneth Kaunda International Airport (LUN) to Windhoek’s Hosea Kutako International Airport (WDH) will be at 08:30, arriving at 11:35, with a stop in Livingstone’s Harry Mwaanga Nkumbula International Airport (LVI) at 09:55. The return leg from Windhoek will depart at 12:20, arriving in Livingstone at 13:55 and Lusaka at 15:20.

According to Air Connect Namibia, this route is expected to support the flow of passengers between two of Southern Africa’s key destinations. In 2024, Zambia was one of Windhoek’s largest African origin-destination markets, with an estimated 10,000 two-way international passengers — reflecting a 14% increase compared to 2023.

The new route is also anticipated to strengthen tourism opportunities for both Namibia and Zambia, offering greater access to attractions such as Namibia’s vast landscapes and Zambia’s Victoria Falls region. Additionally, the connection through Livingstone provides another convenient option for travelers looking to combine visits to multiple destinations in a single trip.

With Proflight Zambia already operating a range of regional routes, the Lusaka–Windhoek service adds to its growing network and highlights the increasing demand for intra-African travel. Ticket sales and further operational details are expected to be confirmed closer to the launch date.
