Namibia’s equestrian team includes Elbe and Elani Potgieter, who will represent the country in the individual endurance race. Louis Kotze, Alyssa Hopking, and Arinda Duvenhage will ride in the team showjumping event, while Emily le Roux serves as the reserve rider and will also compete individually.

The schedule kicks off with the draw of horses on Wednesday, 30 July, followed by a warm-up class on Thursday and a dressage test later that evening. Individual events begin on Friday, with the highly anticipated team competition and endurance race set for Saturday. The endurance race includes two 30km loops, testing the skill and stamina of both rider and horse.

The Namibian team’s participation marks a proud milestone for the country’s sporting community, as it builds visibility and recognition for equestrian sport at youth level. As the team prepares to ride, they carry with them the hopes of a nation and the excitement of being part of a new chapter in African school sports. The Namibian team’s participation marks a proud milestone for the country’s sporting community, as it builds visibility and recognition for equestrian sport at youth level.
