After trailing 5–7 at halftime, the Namibian side surged ahead in the second half with determined play and clinical finishing. Dehan Rover (Windhoek Affies), playing on the left wing, crossed the line twice, while captain and number 8 Vitjitua Uapingene (Windhoek Gymnasium) added another try. Fullback Gillmer Horn (Windhoek Affies) contributed crucial points with a successful conversion and a penalty.

The win against the Sharks capped off a notable run for Namibia, who also claimed victories over Zimbabwe (16–15) and Golden Lions XV (24–8). Their only loss came in a close contest against Eastern Province (12–17).

Under the guidance of head coach Brian Titus (St. Joseph’s), assistant coach JT Basson (Windhoek Gymnasium), and team manager Ernest Groenewald (Orban), the young Namibians demonstrated tactical discipline and promising individual talent.

The team’s consistent performance across four matches signals strong development at the youth level and highlights the growing competitiveness of Namibian rugby on regional platforms. The U13 Academy Week, hosted in South Africa, brings together top junior talent from across the region and provides valuable exposure and experience for emerging players.
