City of Windhoek Champions Women’s Empowerment with Transformative Engagement Event

City of Windhoek Champions Women’s Empowerment with Transformative Engagement Event. City of Windhoek hosted its second Women’s Engagement event on March 10, 2025, bringing together 1,090 women in a powerful gathering focused on empowerment, leadership, and professional growth. The initiative, inspired by the City’s 2019 culture survey, aims to address staff disengagement by fostering motivation, connection, and self-development.

Under the theme “In Pursuit of Herself – Blooming Boldly, Leading Bravely,” the event provided a platform for women to share experiences and build confidence in their leadership roles. The engagement featured a lineup of influential speakers, each delivering insights on personal and professional growth:

  • Max Moyo (Ignite My Potential) – Spoke on self-leadership, self-sustainability, and self-contribution.
  • Stacey Pinto (The Purpose Academy) – Addressed the relationship between self-regulation, self-control, and professional identity.
  • Natasha Phatela (Franklin Covey Namibia) – Delivered a session on self-awareness and understanding personal versus external expectations.

Taking place just days after International Women’s Day (March 8, 2025), the event reinforced the City’s commitment to workplace transformation and inclusivity.

To ensure all employees benefit from similar opportunities, the City has also scheduled a Male Engagement Session on March 11 and 12, 2025. These discussions aim to create a more engaged, productive, and cohesive workforce.
