Windhoek to Host Inaugural Commonwealth Business Summit in June 2025. The Government of the Republic of Namibia will host the inaugural Commonwealth Business Summit (CBS) from 18 to 20 June 2025 in Windhoek. This landmark event, organized in collaboration with the Namibia Investment Promotion and Development Board (NIPDB), Namibia Chamber of Commerce and Industry (NCCI), International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), COMESA Business Council, and the Namibia Local Businesses Association, aims to bring together business leaders, policymakers, and trade experts from across the 56 Commonwealth nations.
Scheduled alongside the 2025 Commonwealth Trade Ministers Meeting, the summit will focus on key themes including enhancing intra-Commonwealth trade, digital transformation and innovation, green trade and sustainable energy transition, public-private sector collaboration, and supporting SMEs and regional integration.
The three-day event will feature a series of panels and discussions. Day 1 will address the future of Commonwealth trade, with sessions on navigating global trade uncertainty and empowering female entrepreneurs. Day 2 will focus on driving investment, highlighting trade opportunities in Namibia and strategies for bridging the finance gap. Day 3 will be dedicated to business-to-business engagement, including matchmaking sessions and site visits to showcase Namibia’s trade and investment opportunities.
Registration for the summit is open until 11 June 2025. Interested participants can register online through the official Commonwealth website.
