Telecom Namibia Issues Apology Following Weekend Network Disruptions. Telecom Namibia has publicly apologized for widespread network disruptions that affected customers across various regions over the weekend of 14–15 June 2025. The company released a formal statement on 16 June, acknowledging the service interruptions and reaffirming its commitment to restoring and maintaining reliable connectivity.

According to the statement, the disruption began on Saturday, June 14 at approximately 20:15, when the network experienced unusually high utilization. This strain reportedly triggered a fault in the system, resulting in outages for TN Mobile and fixed-line service users in multiple areas.

Telecom Namibia expressed regret for the inconvenience caused and emphasized the importance of consistent and reliable communication services. “We understand how crucial reliable connectivity is, and we sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused,” the company stated.

The technical teams worked around the clock to identify and resolve the issue, and by Monday, services were confirmed to be fully restored. In its public notice, the telecom provider assured customers that preventive measures are being implemented to reduce the likelihood of similar incidents in the future.

While the full technical details of the fault were not disclosed, the company acknowledged customer frustration and pledged to improve the resilience of its infrastructure.

Telecom Namibia also took the opportunity to thank its customers for their continued patience and loyalty during the service outage. The disruption highlighted the growing dependence on uninterrupted digital services, particularly for users who rely on stable connections for work, communication, and access to essential services.
