Revivals Volleyball Club Heads to Polokwane to Represent Namibia at Zone VI Championships. Revivals Volleyball Club (RVC), Katutura’s pride and reigning champions of the MTC Volleyball National League (MTC VNL), have officially departed for Polokwane, South Africa, to compete in the 2025 Zone VI Senior Male and Female Indoor Volleyball Club Championships. The tournament runs from 9 to 22 December and brings together top clubs from across the SADC region.
For RVC, this journey reflects more than just competition; it is a demonstration of perseverance, discipline, and community spirit. As a self-funded club, the team has navigated financial challenges throughout the year, ensuring resources are directed primarily toward maintaining team operations. Their dedication and love for volleyball have propelled them from national league victories to the regional stage.
RVC’s reputation is built not only on its performance—winning back-to-back MTC VNL titles with an undefeated record—but also on the team’s commitment to excellence off the court. Many players balance academics, work, and sport, illustrating that volleyball fosters resilience and discipline. Last year, the club celebrated two notable academic achievements: Dr. Tuli Amakali, Club Chairperson and player, earned a PhD in Philosophy and Social Development, while Ms. Hendrina Iindongo, treasurer and player, obtained a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
As the team steps onto the Zone VI stage, it carries the ambitions of its players, the pride of its community, and the hopes of the nation. RVC will join fellow Namibian representatives NAMPOL Volleyball Club and the MTC VNL men’s champions, Namibian Correctional Service Volleyball Club, in showcasing Namibian talent at this prestigious regional championship.
The departure of Revivals Volleyball Club underscores the growth of Namibian volleyball and highlights how sport, academics, and community engagement can come together to produce champions both on and off the court.
