PETROFUND Opens 2026 Scholarships to Boost Namibia’s Oil and Gas Talent. In line with Namibia’s growing oil and gas sector, PETROFUND has announced the opening of its 2026 scholarship applications aimed at developing a skilled workforce for the upstream petroleum industry.

The scholarship programme offers multiple opportunities for students across different levels of study. Undergraduate students in the SADC region can apply for programmes in Engineering, Geosciences, and Oil & Gas Instrumentation Technology. For postgraduate studies, PETROFUND supports MSc. Petroleum Geology at the University of Namibia (UNAM) and various MSc. programmes at top international universities, including the UK, covering fields such as Petroleum, Geophysics, Engineering, and Law. UK applicants are required to also apply through the Chevening programme

Applications are submitted online via the PETROFUND portal at https://esaspetrofund.org/login. For applicants without internet access, physical forms can be collected and submitted at the Office of the Governor in the Kavango West Region.

The deadline for submissions is Tuesday, 7 October 2025, at 13h00, and enquiries can be directed to +264 61 400 443 or petrofund@namcor.com.na.
