Namibia’s Industries Ministry Launches Nationwide Entrepreneurship Training Campaign. The Ministry of Industries, Mines and Energy has rolled out a nationwide Entrepreneurship Skills Development Training and Awareness Campaign, targeting Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), potential entrepreneurs, and the wider public.
The initiative, set for September and October 2025, is part of the Ministry’s commitment to strengthening Namibia’s MSME sector. By equipping entrepreneurs with vital business skills and highlighting available government support services, the programme aims to help enterprises grow and remain sustainable in competitive markets.
According to the Ministry, the training is designed to support both formal and informal MSMEs by addressing challenges that often hinder growth, such as limited access to business knowledge and insufficient awareness of existing support structures.
The campaign will cover several towns across the country, beginning in Otavi and Kombat from 1 to 3 September, followed by Grootfontein on 4 and 5 September, Tsumkwe on 8 and 9 September, and Gam on 10 September. The sessions will continue through October, concluding in Okondjatu on 23 and 24 October 2025. Other towns on the schedule include Otjiwarongo, Kalkfeld, Okahandja, Omatako (Okandjira), and Okakarara.
All sessions will be hosted at constituency offices in their respective locations. The Ministry has encouraged interested MSMEs and individuals to confirm their attendance through designated contact persons.
The training not only offers practical knowledge but also serves as an important platform to connect entrepreneurs with government programmes designed to support their ventures.
By bringing these opportunities closer to communities, the Ministry underscores its broader mission of fostering inclusive economic participation and strengthening the role of small businesses in Namibia’s growth trajectory.
