Namibia to Host Business Forum with Russia in Windhoek. Namibia is set to host the Namibia–Russia Business Forum on 13 March 2026, a high-level event bringing together government leaders, business institutions, and private sector representatives from both nations.

The forum will take place in Windhoek on the margins of the 11th session of the Namibia–Russia Intergovernmental Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation. It is designed to explore practical opportunities for collaboration in key sectors including agriculture, logistics, technology, education, energy, and mining.

Structured business-to-business engagements will form part of the program, offering participants the chance to identify investment prospects and strengthen bilateral economic ties.

The Namibian delegation will be led by Hon. Amb. Selma Ashipala-Musavyi, Minister of International Relations and Trade. The Russian delegation will be headed by H.E. Mr. Yuri Trutnev, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation and Presidential Plenipotentiary Envoy to the Far Eastern Federal District.

Organizers emphasized that the forum represents an important opportunity to deepen cooperation between Namibia and Russia, aligning with broader efforts to diversify Namibia’s economy and attract foreign investment. By focusing on sectors with strong growth potential, the event aims to create pathways for sustainable development and mutually beneficial partnerships.

The proceedings will be broadcast live on NBC and streamed via the social media channels of the Namibia Investment Promotion and Development Board (NIPDB) and the Ministry of International Relations and Trade, ensuring wide access to the discussions.

As preparations continue, the Namibia–Russia Business Forum is expected to highlight the role of international collaboration in advancing economic growth, while positioning Namibia as a strategic partner in regional and global trade.
