Namibia Marks Women’s Entrepreneurship Day With Message of Support for Businesswomen. Namibia’s Ministry of Gender Equality and Child Welfare has extended warm wishes to businesswomen across the country as the nation joins the global commemoration of Women’s Entrepreneurship Day, observed annually on 19 November. The day serves as an opportunity to spotlight the role of women in driving economic activity, job creation and community development.

In its message, the Ministry acknowledged the growing impact of women entrepreneurs operating in diverse sectors, from small enterprises and informal businesses to medium sized companies shaping local value chains. The Ministry noted that women owned businesses continue to play a central role in strengthening household livelihoods, stimulating local economies and contributing to national development.

The recognition comes at a time when women entrepreneurs face both challenges and opportunities in an increasingly competitive business landscape. Access to finance, market entry, digital readiness and regulatory compliance remain notable hurdles.
