Namibia Announces Fuel Price Increase Effective 5 March 2025. The Ministry of Mines and Energy has confirmed adjustments to Namibia’s fuel prices, which will take effect on Wednesday, 5 March 2025. This follows the Ministry’s March 2025 fuel price review.

According to the Ministry, recent assessments recorded under-recoveries of 17.54 cents per litre for petrol. Meanwhile, diesel prices showed over-recoveries of 4.13 cents per litre for 50ppm diesel and 13.18 cents per litre for 10ppm diesel.

As a result, the Ministry has announced a price increase of 50 cents per litre for petrol and both diesel variants (50ppm and 10ppm).In Walvis Bay, the adjustments mean new pump prices will be:N$21.17 per litre for petrol,N$21.42 per litre for diesel 50ppm, andN$21.52 per litre for diesel 10ppm.

Fuel prices in other parts of the country will be adjusted in line with these changes, based on transport costs from Walvis Bay.In addition to the fuel price increase, the Ministry has announced an increase in the road user charge by 20 cents per litre. This adjustment raises the Road Fund Administration (RFA) levy from 223 cents per litre to 243 cents per litre.

The Ministry noted that these changes reflect current market conditions and are part of ongoing efforts to ensure the sustainability of fuel supply and infrastructure funding in Namibia.
