Ministry of International Relations and Trade Engages Public at Opuwo Annual Trade Fair 2025

Ministry of International Relations and Trade Engages Public at Opuwo Annual Trade Fair 2025. The Ministry of International Relations and Trade (MIRT) has officially joined the 2025 Opuwo Annual Trade Fair (OATF), now underway in the Kunene Region. Running from 21 to 31 May, the event serves as a key platform for businesses, government entities, and the public to engage and explore economic opportunities.

Visitors to the trade fair can find MIRT at the Dr. Hage Geingob Hall 1 (Marques Tent), where the Ministry is showcasing a range of its programmes, policies, and ongoing initiatives aimed at strengthening Namibia’s international relations and trade development.

The Ministry’s participation is part of its ongoing outreach efforts to enhance public awareness of its role in advancing Namibia’s global economic interests. Through the exhibition, attendees can gain insights into how MIRT supports trade facilitation, regional integration, export promotion, and diplomatic cooperation.

A Ministry spokesperson encouraged fairgoers to visit the stand, noting that the platform is an opportunity for the public—especially emerging entrepreneurs and young professionals—to better understand how international partnerships and trade policies influence business growth and investment opportunities in Namibia.

The Opuwo Annual Trade Fair continues to be one of the region’s most anticipated events, drawing participants from various sectors, including agriculture, manufacturing, tourism, and government. With a focus on regional development, this year’s fair also highlights opportunities for local businesses to engage with national institutions like MIRT.

The Ministry has expressed its appreciation for the organisers and looks forward to meaningful exchanges with attendees throughout the week.
